TERMS

Monday to Friday (flexible hours)
ROLE
Supporting the social media team (research and content development) and day-to-day maintenance of digital channels (scheduling content and monitoring), such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.
Around The Block is a new company, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall social strategy.
Conducting research into new social media practices / platforms / projects
PREFERRED SKILLS
Detail oriented with strong written and communication skills
Familiarity with mainstream social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter
Photoshop CS and Adobe Illustrator proficiency
Experience using Google Analytics and Facebook Insights
A strong desire to learn editorial and digital marketing skills across social media platforms
PRODUCER Intern, Kuala Lumpur

ROLE
Researching into creatives around Kuala Lumpur for potential productions.
Creative Relationship Management with the potential creative to be produced from beginning of production until end of filming and then after.
Providing support to the production team with any information or execution needed.
Interviewing the Creative for production.
Working together with the Lead Director on Creative Direction.
PREFERRED SKILLS
A good understanding of, and high proficiency in, English, both spoken and written.
Detail-oriented and good organisation skills.
Good social skills, courteous, and friendly.
Team player.
Passionate about the creative industry and the arts.
Interested in building a network of creatives, filmmakers, and brands.
FILMMAKER Intern, Kuala Lumpur
We're looking for filmmakers who are creative and would like to push their craft beyond thier current capabilites. If you're looking for a visual breakthrough, able to shoot and edit, and interested in "Creativity" as a subject matter, please send your CV to adamj@aroundtheblockmedia.com

ROLE
Working alongside the Producer to determine creative fit between a potential Creative, yourself as a filmmaker, and Around The Block brand.
Determining Creative Direction for productions in which you are the Lead Director.
Working together with a crew and the Producer to conduct the production.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro.
Have a strong interest in producing creative short films.
Have past experience with producing and shooting films (from short films to music video to travel video).
The ability to direct and lead during production.
WRITER Intern, Kuala Lumpur

ROLE
Working alongside the Editor-In-Chief and Copy Editor to craft articles of no more than 1,500 words.
Independent research into happenings in the creative culture around the world for snippets of 100 - 150 words.
Interview Creatives for Featured articles or opinion pieces.
Working together with a crew and the Producer to conduct the production, perhaps as an Interviewer.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Good to high proficiency in English, spoken and written.
Not easily deterred by critique.
Adequate research skills to find a story to tell without waiting for a directive from the Editor-In-Chief.
